- collecting and writing local recipes on the back of postcards
- taking pictures of local letter boxes
- keeping a log of the weirdest customs
- tasting local confectionery, etc.

Ok... I'll be the first. Here's an idea:
Take a mascot(a Kangaroo?!), and take a photo of your mascot in every city you visit.

Great to hear from you! Sorry for the late reply, we were playing ping pong. We had a mascot named Valentino, but I left him at home. We bought his replacement, a wrestling action man named 'Skinny'. We'll post some action pics of him soon.
